Bryan Hill Memorial Trophy

Presented Annually to the Runner Up in Playoff Division ‘B’.

Bryan Hill was an engineer with Bell Canada, a long standing curler in the Professional Engineers Curling League, and a dear friend to many of us.  Bryan was a skip of the Dufferin Shield and President's Trophy Championship rink in 1993/94.  In 1996 while serving as Chair of the League, Bryan lost a courageous battle with cancer, yet during the 1995/96 season (his final months), he continued to attend the weekly League draws and to shoulder the responsibilities for the League administration.  Determined to return to his place on the curling ice, Bryan did not disclose his illness to many League members.

Upon hearing from Bryan's family of his deep love for the game of curling and his passion for the Professional Engineers Curling League, the members of the League commissioned this trophy to honour Bryan's memory.  The trophy, in its original form, was the top award in the (former) Humber Highland Curling Club for the Bell Canada Curling League, in which Bryan curled for many years.
